  • 6thStudioSide_webYoga Tree has opened a new studio on 182 6th Avenue at California. The studio caters to local yogis and serves as a real community center. We offer over 25 classes per week of Vinyasa, Hatha, Pre and Postnatal yoga, restorative and Kundalini Yoga.

    The space was formerly home to Brighton Beach Antiques but has been vacant for many years – Yoga Tree has kept the iconic sign which can still be seen coming from the north end of 6th Street. The interior has been beautifully remodeled featuring a reception area with a wide variety of yoga retail including clothing, mats, books, etc..  The yoga studio boasts beautiful cork floors and accommodates 30 people.

    Yoga Tree offers a variety of rates and packages, ranging from an introductory offer of $20 for 3 classes, 10 and 20 class packs, up to a monthly pass (31 classes max) for $190. Classes can be taken at any of our 9 locations in the Bay Area.

      Brenna began her journey with Yoga, Meditation, Tantra, and Ayurveda in 1998. Originally from New York, then Chicago and now San Francisco, Brenna Geehan, ERYT 500, is a Level II Certified ParaYoga® Instructor. Brenna co-directs Sri Yoga Teacher Trainings and travels nationally offering Yoga seminars. Brenna has over 1,000 hrs of training and over 12 years of full time teaching. She specializes in prescribing yoga practices with meditation that addresses her students needs.

      Over the past 14 years, Brenna has had the great fortune of learning from other master teachers including Pandit Rajmani Tigunait , Scott Blossom, Yogiraj Alan Finger, David Life, Shiva Rea, Doug Keller, Beryl Bender Birch, Tias Little, Ana Forrest, Tim Miller, Gary Kraftsow, Andrey Lappa, Gabriel Halpern, and Judith Lasater.

      Brenna believes that we all have the right and capacity to realize a life brimming with joy, meaning and purpose. In her classes, she offers a Tantric- Vinyasa practice that encourages an “inner listening”. Her mission is to help transform students’ bodies to be stronger and more flexible and also aid in removing mental and emotional obstructions so they may have a more balanced and healthy energy flow.       Darcy Lyon (MA, MFTi, RYT) is a Certified Anusara teacher and Expressive Arts therapist. After many years studying dance and theater, Darcy fell in love with the grace and intelligence of Anusara Yoga in 1998. Reflecting an exuberant playfulness and passionate love for movement, her classes are based in Anusara’s Principles of Alignment which support body, mind and heart to live with deep strength, wisdom and ease. Students can expect a non-competitive environment where we all support each other towards our personal best. In 1996 Darcy formed her company: Heartfire Arts for her work with healing, hope and transformation. She has been hired by the Federal Emergency Management Association to create a puppet show for traumatized children, developed a yoga program for an eating disorder clinic and developed a six month intensive that blends yoga and psychology. Her teaching equally reflects a depth of understanding in psychological change and bridging of eastern and western wisdom traditions.       Diana Oppenheim is an in-it-for-life yogi. The practice of yoga is her grounding force in an ever-changing world. She believes in its power to heal, expand and bring balance to life as she has experienced it first hand. In her class you will find a strong, methodical and balanced sequence that meets each student where they are at.

      Her main source of inspiration comes from Annie Carpenter, Margo Kellison-Lightburn and Sara Strother.

      Diana teaches yoga but will always consider herself a student of life first. She has a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Community Development and for all the plans she’s created, she loves the spontaneous plot twists of life.

      Heather Baker’s Yin Class is deeply nourishing, with an emphasis on surrender, curiosity and kindness. Her intention is to create a supportive place to find balance. A place to pause, to tune in and invite harmony into our over scheduled lives.

      She is a Dating and Relationship coach who discovered yoga when she returned to the United States after 17 years abroad in Europe. Heather is a devout student of yoga since 2000 and brings a joyful exuberance to her classes.

      Heather has immersed herself in the study of Yin and InnerYoga under the careful tutelage of her mentor Dina Amsterdam. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance and received her certification at Yoga Tree.

      Miki is thrilled to share her love and knowledge of yoga as a healing and strengthening practice. She believes in respecting and learning from the tools of our yoga roots, while developing deep awareness of our unique bodies and minds so that we can practice with authenticity in the ever-changing moment.

      Miki received her initial RYT 200 with Clayton Horton at the Yoga Society of San Francisco Brahmananda Ashram, venturing next to Costa Rica receiving her RYT 500 at the Nosara Yoga Institute, and also completing Yin Yoga teacher trainings with Paul and Suzee Grilley. She has taught classes and assisted teacher trainings in San Francisco, Costa Rica, and Hawaii.

      Samuel Palmer teaches the nuts-and-bolts of alignment as well as energetic, dynamic, and challenging sequences, always with an eye for safety, and always holding loving space for students to have their own experience.

      Samuel came to the practice of Yoga in 1997, with a strong foundation in Anusara.
