"Nothing matters, laugh at everything. Everything totally matters,do everything with love."
-Samantha Terhune
Samantha Terhune is a mirror and the oldest teacher at Yoga Tree. When she began studying yoga she was older than all of our other teachers currently are. She teaches visionary yoga ("anusara-inspired" and "relax and renew restorative"). Her teachers include--but are not limited to--John Friend (Anusara yoga), Tony Briggs (Iyengar yoga), Judith Lasater (restorative yoga), Lama Tarchin (Tantric Buddhism and teacher to His Holiness the Dalai Lama), Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman (core shamanism) and Shelley Masters (art). Her anusara classes are fun, informative and inspiring. Her special interest here is in therapeutics, fixing a "broken" body and then keeping it healthy. Samantha's restorative classes are a real treat, "I work like a dog so you can relax like a cat", she says.
She has a bachelor's of art and has lived in Minnesota, New York City and Paris before settling in San Francisco. Samantha is 14 feet tall and 3,000lbs, proving that any body can do yoga. |
