InnerYoga & Yin
Sheana, an InnerYoga teacher, is a soul seeker on a quest to explore the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Having discovered yoga in 2000, she immediately became enchanted with the ease in the body and calmness and serenity in the mind. As she discovered her soul path, Yoga became her trusted companion.
Originally from Ireland, Sheana’s distinctive experience reflects her trainings in yoga and mindfulness, her education in psychology and business, and her 10+ years in the demanding corporate world which has been the biggest teacher of all.
Outside teaching yoga, Sheana works at Spire (www.spire.io) helping individuals and organizations to incorporate technology and mindfulness for more conscious and productive living.
Sheana teaches a passive practice where poses are held for extended periods to lubricate the connective tissue and stimulate the energetic meridian channels in the body. A more meditative approach with a physical focus much deeper than Vinyasa or Flow like practices, this intimate practice of yoga allows the student to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions.
Sheana has completed 200-hour trainings in both Vinyasa and InnerYoga and is currently mentoring with Dina Amsterdam, the founder of InnerYoga. Her classes are full of tools that students can bring directly off the mat and into their lives to care more skillfully and compassionately for their being – mind, body, and spirit.
