Finding your Inner Warrior is Yoga Tree’s theme for September. As we know from poetry, stories and mythological tales, to go out and find something “missing” is the quest of the Warrior. In my lineage, the familiar Warrior pose sequences are seen – metaphysically speaking – as representing our own journey from lower to higher levels of consciousness and understanding. The Warrior poses of Hatha yoga take on new meaning, if we approach them as a way to create stability, leading to inner strength, and a way to find essential elements of our spiritual selves.
Yoga Tree’s September line-up offers up many opportunities to tap into your Inner Warrior, including Embodying the Graceful Warrior Within – a workshop this coming weekend that will help you feel grounded, discover your own precious value, and feel confident on your path. This month, Yoga Tree also welcomes nationally-acclaimed teacher Tias Little for a series of workshops on Unwinding, Gravity and the Middle Way. You will also find opportunities to find strength in handstanding, healing, ayurveda, anatomy/biomechanics and more.
