Cindy began studying meditation over 30 years ago, when she sustained a back injury while in college studying dance. Although doctors told her that she might not ever be able to dance again, through meditation and bodywork she found complete healing and went on to dance professionally. After many years of studying and practicing meditation, she completed 125 hours of Professional Training in Amrit Method Yoga Nidra, facilitating group and individual classes since 2006. Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep”, comes from ancient yogic traditions, yet is an extremely effective and accessible tool for our modern world. Providing us with a means to break themomentum of stress in our lives, Yoga Nidra uses simple techniques to produce a profound state of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.Utilizing a combination of gentle body movements, breath, and awareness, Cindy guides each class into a deep meditative state, where all healing is possible. Regular practice of Yoga Nidra re-connects us to our True Self, our inner source of stillness, wisdom, and peace. Cindy also infuses her Yoga Nidra classes with Sound Healing, using Ancient Himalayan Bowls, Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Bells, Planetary Gongs, and Acutonics tuning forks to enhance and deepen the meditative state. Cindy offers private, semi-private, and group Yoga Nidra classes, in addition to her Private Practice offerings of Bodywork, Reiki sessions and trainings, Energy Work, and Sound Healing.
