Gina Giammanco’s Forrest Yoga inspired classes combine therapeutic movement, Pilates principles, and asanas. She believes the foundation for a sustainable practice is a strong, pliable core and proper alignment. Gina began practicing yoga shortly after relocating to San Francisco in 1997 and quickly appreciated its therapeutic powers which were instrumental in healing her own back injury. She is a certified RYT200 yoga teacher with training from Ana Forrest through the Forrest Yoga Foundation. Gina has been practicing sports and dance medicine for over 20 years. After graduating from the NYU physical therapy program, she combined her lifelong passion for dance and the healing arts by working extensively with the New York city dance and theater community. She continues to perform flamenco dance in the Bay Area.
