Melissa began her yogic journey over ten years ago. Her dedicated application of yoga postures lead her to experience many benefits including relief from chronic back pain. After five years it became clear to Melissa that she wanted to share the gifts of this sacred practice with others. She began teaching in 2009 and remains an eternal student through continuing education. Melissa incorporates a therapeutic approach to her group classes. She believes in the healing benefits of Pranayama (breath control) combined with precise strengthening and alignment postures. Melissa describes her class as, “A balance of movement and stability that links seamlessly with breath and body awareness.”
