Yoga Tree couldn’t be more proud to have 6 out of 10 of the best yoga teachers as rated by the Guardian in the February 22nd issue.
The first mention is Pete Guinosso who was rated as goofy and loose. Who knew? Apparently everyone as witnessed by his Facebook chain remarking upon this. Les Leventhal is mentioned for being fresh and affirming. I would also point out his unique style and personality – and yes, the reverberating chanting is part of that! Janet Stone is listed as fast and unfettered – hmmm. I don’t think the author took more than one class with Janet. Her Friday Mellow Flow is slow, enchantingly beautiful and soothing.
Darren Main, the Director of Yoga Tree’s Teacher Training mentions his spirituality and sincerity. This points to his donation-based Tuesday night classes at Grace Cathedral, which not only have a devotional, but very human quality. The other side of Darren is witty, smart and just a bit caustic… but I didn’t say that. We love the description of Mark Morford, and the note about teaching with his shirt off. Oh so true, and nobody minds, believe me. But do catch some of his articles – his sense of humor is great and what we know him for. Finally the article highlights Jane Austin, our fabulous Director of Prenatal Teacher Training Programming. Her direct approach and down-to-earth sensibility are a draw for everyone. She’s the real deal and we couldn’t recommend a better teacher, doula or midwife to anyone.
Yoga Tree is so happy to have a wonderful, vibrant community of teachers who all inspire in their own unique way. View all Yoga Tree teachers.
